
Who We Are
Community NETwork – African American Telecommunication Professionals of AT&T -- is a non-profit,
non-partisan organization, open to active and retired employees of AT&T, its subsidiaries and
affiliates. Our membership includes a diverse mix of individuals, representing all skill levels and business
areas of the corporation, from entry-level to officer-level.
Our Mission Statement
To enhance the visibility, to improve opportunities and to encourage and facilitate personal and
professional growth of African American employees of AT&T.
Purpose
COMMUNITY NETWORK is a non-profit organization comprised of employees from AT&T. The purpose of
this corporation shall be to dedicate its energy and effort towards accomplishing the following goals:
· To encourage and facilitate personal and professional growth of minority employees of
AT&TCommunications, Inc and/or its Subsidiaries (hereafter referred to as AT&T.)
· To assist public and community organizations in the African American and other diverse
communities;
· To assist the underprivileged African Americans and other diverse persons in employment opportunities.
COMMUNITY NETWORK is responsible for administering, maintaining, and funding its own organization
with some support from the company.
Objectives
In our efforts to reach the below objectives we shall promote professionalism in areas of cultural i
dentifications, human relations, self-development, managerial achievement, job enrichment and those
skills required to assist minorities in becoming successful within the organization and the community.
To develop and enhance the role and position of minority employees with AT&Tand/or subsidiaries.
To be resource, promote unity and enhance the strength within each chapter, and To promote exchange
among chapters (e.g., supporting chapters other than your own, joint ventures with other chapters, etc.)
To develop and maintain a working relationship with all personnel of AT&T and/or its subsidiaries. To address
issues and concerns of minority employees.
Where We Are
Through our efforts to enhance AT&T’s visibility in the community, The NETwork regularly plays an active
part in charitable events benefiting such worthy causes as the UNCF, local area schools and the community
at large. We sponsor activities ranging from free financial planning workshops to scholarship banquets to
professional networking socials. We are committed to making a difference.
What We Do
The NETwork addresses the issues and concerns of AT&T’s African American employees; encourages the
exchange of information in order to facilitate a better understanding of business issues and policies; and,
undertakes activities which promote and enhance the image of AT&T’s African American employees, within
